Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić stays in Oslo, to attend a commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of Genocide in Srebrenica. 

Chairman Zvizdić opened Tarik Samarah’s exhibition “Abandoned in Srebrenica – 20th Anniversary” at the Centre for Studies of Holocaust and Religious Minorities, together with Guri Hjeltnes, Director the Centre. He said that Srebrenica, even 20 years later, evokes immense grief, and underlined that in Bosnia and Herzegovina, however, an intention of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s citizens to continue building joint life and future prevailed, adding that no one must forget Srebrenica. He said that Srebrenica is a message for Europe and the entire civilised world not to let happen ever again suffering like the one experienced in Srebernica.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Zumra Šehomerović, Srebrenica women, survivor of the genocide, Amor Mašović and Anton Weiss-Wendt, Head of “20 Years of Srebrenica” Research Team with the Centre for Studies of Holocaust, and BIH Ambassador in Norway Emir Poljo.

The Sarajevo String Quartet attended the musical part of the event.

A meeting and talks of Chairman Zvizdić with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Erna Solberg is scheduled for 18.15 hrs, following which they will attend a classical music concert on the occasion marking the 20th anniversary of genocide in Srebrenica, where they will address to the audience. The concert organiser is the Association of BIH Citizens in Norway.
