Chairman Zvizdić Meets with National Museum Manager and Staff: Budgetary Provision for Culture and Sports

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić said that the importance of the National Museum for the whole country is immense, during his meeting today in Manager and staff of the National Museum of BIH, adding that that he is extremely happy for its tomorrow’s opening. 

He said he is hopeful that that the Museum would continue to operate the way it has had for longer than one hundred years, never again to face the situation of a shutting down.

Emphasising the outstanding importance of unique ethnological, archaeological and natural showpieces, Chairman Zvizdić said that cultural institutions should be ensured a systematic funding and provided with managerial structure, and added that culture and sports must be included into the next year’s budget.

The meeting agreed that irresponsible attitude towards cultural institutions must not be allowed, as they enshrine great national, historic and cultural legacy, which belong to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of the Federation of BIH Fadil Novalić and Minister of Civil Affairs of BIH Adil Osmanović.
