Chairman Zvizdić Meets Head of IMF Mission

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizidć talked in Sarajevo with had of the IMF Mission in BIH Nadeem Ilahi. They talked on realisation of previous measures within the second review of the Extended Arrangement between BIH and IMF. 

Chairman Zvizdić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina continued to progress in decreasing both internal and foreign imbalance. He added that all-level authorities implement structural reforms and economic policies within the IMF Programme, including keeping fiscal discipline, financial stability and improvement of business climate.

Head of the IMF Mission Ilahi underlined that it is important for authorities to continue their engagement on dealing with structural weaknesses, with maintaining economic and financial stability, and that the IMF is always ready to offer needed technical assistance.

A meeting with the IMF delegation and the Fiscal Council session will be held by the end of this month, when future measures and activities concerning the Letter of Intent within the IMF Arrangement will be defined.

The meeting was attended by IMF Resident Representative Francisco Parodi.
