01/24/2019
Vijeće ministara Bosne i Hercegovine
Speaking of the regional cooperation and related challenges, Chairman Zvizdić said that the best way for cooperation on all issues, especially concerning the outstanding bilateral disputes, is to solve them though a continuous dialogue and mutual consideration and respect for international recognised facts.
“In that sense, I see a good experience we’ve had signing the Agreement on Border with Montenegro in 2015 as a good example of strengthening of good neighbourly relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and further promotion of regional and bilateral cooperation”, Chairman Zvizdić said in his address.
He urged his colleagues form Croatia and Serbia to conclude agreements on borders, in the spirit of signed-to declarations from the Western Balkans summits, so that the closing of that chapter would secure focusing of future relations at the economic, cultural, social and other themes of relevance for the improvement of citizens’ living standard.
He emphasised that the regional cooperation process made, especially within the berlin process, very encouraging breakthroughs in all spheres, especially though in infrastructure connection and strengthening within regional economic space, and expressed his hope that, despite future challenges, these processes will, however, return to the right track. In his address, Chairman Zvizdić noted unilateral decision contravening the contractual relations under CEFTA Agreement, and called upon Kosovo authorities to return the trade relations within provisions of the CEFA Agreement.
He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina will, as to date, remain a partner in all areas and topics which will enable every individual country and the entire region a stable, prosperous and successful cooperation.
Chairman Zvizdić met with Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Croatia at the margins of the Davos forum, with whom he spoke on improvement of cooperation between the two states.
