Chairman Zvizdić and Director Jean Eric Paquet: European Integrations, Economic Strengthening and Rule of Law are Priorities of CoM BIH

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met today with a delegation of the European Union, led by Director of the EU Directorate General for Enlargement for Albania, BIH, Kosovo and Serbia Jean Eric Paquet. 

Chairman Zvizdić said that the European integrations, economic Strengthening and rule of law are the priorities of the Council of Ministers of BIH. He expressed his hope that more positive news will reach Brussels from BIH in time to come.

Director Paquet welcomed agreements reached at recent Brussels meeting. He said the Delegation of the European Union in BIH will assist BIH on all issues that should accelerate the way towards the European Union, He announced visit by Commissioner of the European Commission for Enlargement Negotiations and Neighbourhood Policy Johannes Hahn in early May, saying that during his two-day visit he will hold a series of meetings on reform issues.

Chairman Zvizdić said that BIH will focus on adopting regulations relevant for further advancing towards the European integrations.

The meeting discussed an adaptation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, underlining that the interests of all sides will be respected.

The meeting attended, among others, Head of Delegation and Special Representative of the European Union Ambassador Lars Gunnar Wigemark and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šarović.
