Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in Sarejevo today Ambassador of Hungary in BIH Josef Pandur, with whom he discussed the relations between the two countries.

It was concluded that there is a space for the improvement of bilateral cooperation on the economic plan, especially in the energy sector, for which Hungarian investors have shown their interest. In that context, they noted the importance of construction of the Corridor V c.

Ambassador Pandur said that Hungary supports BIH on its Euro-Atlantic path, and stands ready to offer a concrete support in terms of Hungarian experiences in that process.

Also the Ambassador pointed at a possibility that BIH, the Republic of Croatia and Hungary apply for certain EU funds jointly.

Chairman Bevanda informed Hungarian Ambassador on the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, underlining the adoption of the State Budget as a top priority.

This issue will be a test of determination of all political actors in BIH, stated the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH, noting that negotiations with the IMF on a new stand-by arrangement should start this month.

They also indicated the necessity of implementation of the Sejdić&Ffinci ECHR Award, while the Hungarian Ambassador said that it would be a positive development if the Stabilisation and Association Agreement would take effect and Bosnia and Herzegovina attain the EU member candidate status during the term of this Council of Ministers.

Chairman Bevanda accepted in principle an invitation of Ambassador Pandur to visit Hungary in the course of this year.
