Chairman of Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda Receives Turkish Foreign Minister Davutolgu

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received today Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu. 

They exchanged views on the current developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chairman Bevanda thanked for friendly support Turkey continuously extends to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in economic cooperation. He said that Turkey is the ninth ranking foreign country investing to BIH, underlining the investment in Natron Hayat Maglaj and Soda Sanayyi A.S. – Sisecam Soda Lukavac.

“Our aim is to create higher quality conditions for the concretisation of economic cooperation. We have to remove all the barriers standing on the way of your entrepreneurs. We will do everything we can to improve our relations”, Chairman Bevanda added.

Minister Davutoglu conveyed sincere congratulations of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and congratulated to Bevanda for his appointment to the post of Chairman of the Council of Ministers, adding that Turkey is ready to support Bosnia and Herzegovina on its ways towards the EU and NATO.

A new approach is required for a successful development of BIH, and both sides need to give their own contribution, Davutoglu said, stress8ing that Turkey si ready to give incentives to companies wishing to invest to BIH, but that measure must be accompanied by tackling with sluggishness in administration decision making.

In view of the improvement of job creation Minister Davutoglu said that the Republic of Turkey has decided to give its contribution and offer financial support to SMEs in BIH throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina rightly for that cause. Davutoglu and Bevanda agreed that it would be beneficial to organise a business forum for Turkish entrepreneurs wishing to invest to our country, underlining that all prospective investments depend on a certainty factor. Therefore, BIH’s integration into the EU and NATO will restore confidence and security of investment in BIH, for which Turkey will extend its unreserved support.
