Chairman of Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanad and Head of Eurostat: Congratulations to Council of Ministers of BIH and its Chairman for Prearrangements for Census of Population in BIH

Head of the Eurostat and Chair of the Steering Committee of the International Monitoring Operation Pieter Everaers congratulated at a meeting in Sarajevo to Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevnada, and to the Council of Ministers of BIH, for their activities taken in connection to preparations for the census of population, scheduled for 2013. 

At a press conference after the meeting, Head of the Statistics Agency of BiH Zdenko Milinović and Head of Eurostat Pieter Everaers announced holding of pilot census in October 15-19, 2012.

The International Monitoring Operation supports the holding of a pilot census to be implemented by the Statistics Agency of BIH, Director Everaers stated, underlining that the pilot census is an instrument based on which a decision will be made on holding the census of population in 12013.

Director Milinović expressed his pleasure with the activities implemented so far concerning the pilot census, adding that it will be implemented in 66 census areas though Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was attended of Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Damir Hadžić.
