Chairman of Council of Ministers of BIH Talks with German Bundestag Representatives

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in Sarajevo today the Parliamentarian group for BIH – German Bundestag Group of Friendship, led by MP Marieluise Beck. 

Chairman Bevanda, indicating that that Germany is proven friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanked for its continuous support extended to our country.

Speaking of activities of the Council of Ministers of BIH over the past two months, he informed the visitors of the adoption of the Proposal Law on State Aid and Proposal Law Census of Population, which were requirements for the continuation of talks with the European Union, and the implementation of which is the top priority.

“We are now left to implement the Sejdić & Finci Award of the European Court for Human Rights. A meeting of six political parties’ leaders is scheduled for May 16, so I hope that this issue will be solved”, Chairman Bevanda said.

He informed the visitors that the Council of Ministers of BIH and Presidency of BIH adopted the 2012 Budget of BIH Institutions, and expressed his expectation that the same will be done by the Parliamentarian Assembly of BIH at a session scheduled for May 10.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers underlined that the BIH Institutions Budget will be a realistic one, based on relevant indicators and revenue levels.

Chairman Bevanda expressed his belief that after solving these political issues, Bosnia and Herzegovina will commit itself to a creation of conditions for more enhanced foreign investments, especially in the energy sector and road infrastructure.

Even though the severe economic situation in the EU countries threaten that Western Balkan countries might be forgotten, Bosnia and Herzegovina will enjoy support of Germany and the European Union in a whole on its European integrations path, said MP Beck.
