Chairman of Council of Ministers of BIH talks with BIH Interreligious Council Representatives

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda met in Sarajevo today with representatives of the Interreligious Council of BIH (MRV BiH), and informed them that the Council of Ministers will soon take a decision on funding of MRV BiH activities. 

Chairman Bevanda said that a relevant agreement was reached at the Council of Ministers and that the decision on funding will be adopted after adoption and publication of this year’s Budget.

The meeting, attended by Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Damir Ljubić, discussed the issues stemming from the unsolved issue of restitution of nationalised property, and Chairman Bevanda said that the promulgation of a restitution law will be among priority tasks of the Council of Ministers, in which he expect cooperation from the MRV BIH.

For that purpose it was agreed to form an office for cooperation between the Council of Ministers of BIH and the MRV BiH, i.e. its members.

The MRV BiH representatives pointed at the problem of pension and health insurance of religious officials. Underlining that the issue is regulated at the lower level of authorities, Chairman Bevanda said the Council of Ministers of BIH will try to give a positive impetus to solving this issue.
