Chairman of Council of Ministers of BiH dr Denis Zvizdić talks with Secretary fo State of Holy See Cardinal Pietro Parolin

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić and Deputy Chairmen, Ministers Mirko Šarović and Vjekoslav Bevanda, talked with Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin. 

Chairman Zvizdić said that the arrival of Pope Francisco is an extremely important event for Bosnia and Herzegovina, because it brings along a message of peace, co-existence and tolerance.

Chairman Zvizdić informed Cardinal Parolin of the current political and economic situation in BIH, and stressed that BIH has opted for the European integrations. He thanked to the Holy See for its continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He informed cardinal Parolin of a Law on Religious Holidays adoption procedure, saying that the agreement of all confession communities has been reached, so that it is expected to be in the adoption procedure soon. 

Cardinal Parolin said that he is happy for the visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed his hope that Pope’s visit, holding significance for reconciliation and peace, would make a deep trace to the process of building co-existence and dialogue.

The meeting reiterated excellent bilateral relations of the Holy See and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of BIH in Vatican Slavica Karačić and Apostolic Nuncio in BH Msgr. Luigi Pezzuto.
