Chairman of Council of Ministers of BIH at “Croatia Summit 2012 – State Building and EU Experience”

The EU accession process represents a remarkable change in all spheres of society in the surrounding countries, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda said that at a two-day Conference titled “Croatia Summit 2012 – State Building and EU Experience” in Dubrovnik. 

“Bosnia and Herzegovina signed the Stabilisation and Accession Agreement with the European Union in 2008, and in the face of complex economic, constitutional, and particularly political environment it set to the European road. Major tasks in this year would be to establish an effective coordination mechanism, with a full consideration of the constitutional order of BIH, based on which we will start developing a Programme of Integrations of BIH into the EU and harmonising the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. Once we comply with other requirements by the end of this year, the Stabilisation and Association Agreement will take effect, i.e. BIH will attain the candidate status”, Vjekoslav Bevanda Chairman of the Council of Ministers said.

The Summit was addressed also by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Foreign Affairs of BIH Dr. Zlatko Lagumdžija.

This seventh international conference of Chiefs of Governments and Foreign Ministers of Croatia, BIH, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, Poland, Bulgaria and Turkey, and representatives of Europe, North America, South Mediterranean in Dubrovnik was organised by the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
