Chairman of Council of Ministers of B-H Receives Delegation of EC Directorate for Enlargement

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H Dr Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo Head of B-H Unit of the EC DG for Enlargement Paola Pampaloni with her assistants. 

They exchanged views on the political situation in B-H, implementation of October 2010 Elections’ results, as well as reforms necessary for European Integrations of B-H.

They highlighted a need for enactment of Law on Census and Law on State Aid,, including the implementation of the European Court for Human Rights award in case “Sejdić and Finci vs. B-H”.

Chairman Špirić informed the delegation of the EC DG for Enlargement that, although a new composition of the Council of Ministers of B-H is yet to be formed the existing one holds its regular sessions, administration fulfils its tasks, including those related to the EU integration process.

Chairman Špirić stressed that B-H undertakes needed measures in order safeguard non-visa regime in Schengen zone.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers assessed that a structural dialogue, launched recently in Banja Luka, represents good foundation for development of the judiciary system in B-H. He said that the competent institutions in B-H are tasked to take all needed measures and respond by, August 31, to questions posed by the European Commission.

The meeting touched upon the 2011 IPA programming, and Chairman Špirić reiterated a necessity for an enhanced cooperation of authorities across all levels, which implies an active participation of all the stakeholders in the process.
