Chairman of Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr. Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo today in an introductory visit EU Special Representative in B-H Ambassador Peter Sorensen. 

Chairman Špirić informed Ambassador Sorensen on the reforms implemented and progress achieved from the Dayton Agreement signing onwards, as well as on the challenges ahead of B-H.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers informed the EU Special Representative of his views of the internal political developments. He assessed that B-H is on the turning-point now, when domestic political leaders must take over accountability for development in the country.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers underlined that the only guarantee of a successful development of B-H is in a continuous internal dialogue, and that the role of the international community in this country must be the advisory directed towards the EU integration process of B-H.

Špirić welcomed the determination within EU to support both politicians and citizens of B-H though its stronger presence in order to get the EU integrations process accelerated.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H highlighted the importance of a fulfilment of conditions for submitting a credible EU membership application.

Chairman Špirić welcomed Ambassador Sorensen, and wished his mission to be successful to the general benefit.
