Chairman Bevanda Talks with Ambassadors in BIH

Being asked by Slovenian Ambassador Andrey Grasselly for a comment on the Road Map, Chairman Bevanda informed the invitees of the overall realisation of related goals and emphasised that he is extremely satisfied for 24 priority issues were realised, but expressed his disappointment for the remaining 2 are still waiting for a resolution. He expressed his hope that he will soon be in a position to present to EU Enlargement Commissioner Štefan Füle agreed joint positions on all items.
Ambassador of Swiss Confederation in BIH Andre Schaller and Ambassador of Romania Filip Teodorescu asked questions on future plans and on regional cooperation and preparations for the up-coming entry of the Republic of Croatia to the EU. Chairman Bevnada said that BIH is a country with the lowest rate of utilisation of energy potentials and that BIH aims to get a single energy strategy in the future period.
“Public works and stepped-up activities related to the Corridor V c, as well as the Adriatic-Ionian Motorway are the priorities to which we will focus in the coming period of time. If we take into consideration that Croatia joins the European Union on July 1, 2013, and leaves CEFTA System, there is considerable interest for moving production lines from Croatia to BIH. We see in this a chance for our economy”, Chairman Bevanda said during the meeting. He emphasised especially open and high quality communication at regional level.
During the meeting, Ambassador of the Federative republic of Brazil Jose Augusto Lindgren Alves handed over to Chairman Bevanda a note on annulling viza regime for BIH citizens travelling to this country..
