Chairman Bevanda Talks to Chinese Prime Minister

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda talked in Warsaw today with Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China Wen Jiabao. 

During the talks, the traditional friendship between BIH and the People’s Republic of China was pointed at.

Prime Minister Jiabao said China supports the European integrations process of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing the support to measures the Council of Ministers undertakes on that way. According to him, a great potential exist for even more enhanced cooperation between the two countries, and said he hopes that Bosnia and Herzegovina will take place at a meeting devoted to the improvement of the regional transportation network.  Prime Minister Jiabao proposed to our country to take part in the China-Central Europe Alliance for Touristic Promotion.

Chairman Bevanda said that the cooperation with China is of a great economic significance for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed his wish for China to show its interest for investment sin BIH, especially in the energy and civil engineering sectors. He invited Chinese entrepreneurs to a direct cooperation with the economic entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing that they will enjoy a full support from institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Chairman Bevanda underlined the importance of the improvement of cooperation in the areas of tourism and education.

The meeting with the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China was attended by Minister for Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šarović and Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Poland Koviljka Špirić.
