Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vjekoslav Bevanda received a high delegation of the People's Republic of China, led by Deputy Prime Minister Hui Liangyu.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China Hui Liangyu conveyed congratulations and good wishes of the Chinese Government to Chairman Bevanda for his appointment to a new post. He pointed out at the traditional friendship between the People’s Republic of China and BIH, noting that political confidence keeps growing from year to year.
“Our wish is to improve the cooperation of our two countries in a way to boost economic-trade cooperation. The Chinese Government pledges a great support to development of relations with BIH and it backs BIH in its aspirations of speedier moving towards European Union. We will intensify our high level exchange in the coming period and will promote our economic-trade cooperation, including exchange among companies”, Deputy Prime Minster Liangyu stated.
He proposed setting-up Economic Committee for Trade Exchange to launch this September, while cooperation in the areas of agriculture, tourism, energy and other areas is expected to intensify in the coming period.
Chairman Bevanda thanked to Deputy Prime Minister Liangyu for the visit and good wishes for BIH’s moving towards the EU, and stressed that the relations between BIH and China are very good, but with a lot of space for their improvement, since China is a growing economy.
“We are opted to give a chance to a fast development, especially for the reason that our Constitution defines our country as open in its nature. Therefore we hope for inciting interest among your investors for direct investments, we as well as for infrastructural projects to be developed in our country. Doors for your investors are always open and we would be glad to see your interest for road corridor and for renewable sources of energy”, Chairman Bevanda said at the meeting.
The delegation of the People’s Republic of China was comprised of Minister of Agriculture Han Changfu, Minister in State Committee for Ethnic Affairs Yang Jing, Deputy Foreign Minister Zhai Jun and Trade Minister Chang Quan.
