BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Slavko Matanovic, met with Director for Albania, BiH, Kosovo and Serbia issues in the EU Directorate for Enlargement, Jean-Eric Paquet. They discussed issues of identification of priority projects in the area of transport infrastructure as part of the Core Transport Infrastructure which was agreed at the recent meeting of six Western Balkans Prime Minsters held in Brussels.

The urgent need to establish national investment committees and to appoint coordinators for each project that is to be completed within the next five years was emphasised during the meeting. Minister Matanovic noted out that the Ministry is busily engaged in the preparation of umbrella documents within the transport sector and their referral for adoption, as a necessary step for BiH’s application to EU funds.
