B&H Civil Aviation Safety Draft Programme adopted

Today in Sarajevo, Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Damir Hadžić, chaired the third session of the State Commitee for civil aviation safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at which the Draft Programme for safety of civil aviation in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been adopted.

The Working Group in charge of drafting the programme accepted remarks and suggestions from the competent ministries and agencies put forward at the previous commitee meeting, and harmonized the Draft Programme and its attachments with the relevant EU Regulation. State Commitee for B&H Civil Aviation Safety will refer the Draft Programme with the accompanying attachments to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina for adoption procedure.

The Chairman of the State Commitee and also the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Damir Hadžić, noted that the level of security of the civil aviation in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be significantly increased with the final adoption of this programme and entry into force of the prescribed procedures. He also emphasized that there is intention to amend the Law on Civil Aviation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to bring it into line with other legal solutions, first of all the B&H Law on protection of secret data, which would further improve safety procedures.
