Bevanda-Sorensen: To Commit Stronger to Fulfilment of Outstanding Road Map Obligations

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda talked in Sarajevo with Head of the EU Delegation in BIH Ambassador Peter Sorensen on current political developments in BIH, with a special focus on the fulfilment of requirements before BIH on its way towards the EU. 

During the meeting, they raised their concern over the crisis in the Federation of BIH, particularly in the context of functioning of the BIH Fiscal Council and Indirect Taxation Administration of BIH, the membership in which is a legal requirement for the Entity Finance Ministers.

Chairman Bevanda and Ambassador Sorensen exchanged their views on preparation for a higher quality and more effective work of Sub-Boards under the Directorate for European Integrations of BIH,  and stressed that improved functionality needs to be ensured in future for overcoming the problems existing on tis ways to the European Union.

At the end of the meeting, they concluded that in the New Year Bosnia and Herzegovina needs to invest more efforts to continue fulfilling the remaining obligations from the Road Map, also for the reason of its citizens’ interest to benefit from functional institutions.
