Bevanda – Rompuy: to Implement Brussels Agreements

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda and President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy said this evening at a meeting in Sarajevo that Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot obtain the EU member candidate status without the implementation of the European Court for Human Rights Ruling in Sjedić-Finci case. 

Chairman Bevanda informed the President of the European Council on steps undertaken to implement the agreements reached in Brussels on June 26, 2012.

President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy said that the European Union will continue aiding Bosnia and Herzegovina on tis European integrations road, but noted that within Bosnia and Herzegovina additional efforts must be taken on fulfilment of Road Map commitments.

The meeting discussed Bosnia and Herzegovina’s negotiations with the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, assessing that the approval of a new arrangement would be a positive sign also for the EU.
