Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda met, during his visit to Montenegro, with President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović and President of Assembly of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapić. 

During the meeting it was stressed that the relations between BIH and Montenegro are the best example of good neighbourly relations and a model of successful cooperation in all sectors in the region.

Chairman Bevanda informed his interlocutors on development along the European integrations process and fulfilment of requirements from the road Map. He welcomed the progress of Montenegro on is path to the EU and expressed his readiness to foster a joint activity through direct cooperation.

“Let us use the space for improvement of mutual cooperation in the economic field, especially in transport, tourism and energy. Competent Ministries need to contact continuously for cooperation and exchange of experiences in the areas of European integrations, security, economic cooperation, transport and communications, education, science, culture, sports and tourism”, Chairman Bevanda said during his meeting with President Vujanović.

President Vujanović underlined the importance of close and friendly relations between Montenegro and BIH, and expressed his expectations of soon conclusion of contacts on border and dual citizenship.

President of Assembly of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapić and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda commended cooperation between the two states, emphasising that there are still unused possibilities in economic field and that the cooperation in that regard is necessary to improve.

During his visit to Montenegro, preparations for the construction of the Adriatic-Ionian motorway - which starts in Italy and runs through Slovenia, Croatia, BIH, Montenegro and Albania and ends-up in Greece - were signalled out as very important. The interlocutors agreed that this corridor is significant in the context of linking of Western Europe with South European territories, and further towards the Middle East.
