Bevanda: Intensively for Improvement of Business Environment

Chairman Bevanda expressed his content with the cooperation to date with the IMF and added ta thin the coursed of its operations in BIH, the IMF has given a considerable contribution to reform activities relating to fulfilment of commitments assumed in agreement with international financial institutions.
Deputy Director of IMF Shafik congratulated to Chairman Bevanda for a good start of the Stand-By Arrangement, particularly for the 2013 Budget adoption. She assessed that immediate future priority for BIH authorities should be revitalisation of BIH economic growth, including dealing with a high unemployment rate.
Chairman Bevanda said that BIH is a country of underutilised capacities, and pointed that hard efforts need to be focused to renewable energy, like hydro potential, and public works, in particular road infrastructure building and reconstruction, mentioning the development of BIH Energy Strategy as a priority.
“Improvement of business environment, on which we work intensively, we consider would encourage private investors and open the way to secure mid-term development support”, Chairman Bevanda said at the meeting.
Pleased with the priorities Chairman Bevanda mentioned, Deputy Director of IMF Shafik underlined that the IMF will extend its support to the realisation of these goals.
The meeting was attended by Ruben Atoyan, IMF resident Representative in BIH.
