Bevanda: Gratitude to USA for Its Considerable Role in Development of BIH Society

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BH Vjekoslav Bevanda received today in a farewell visit US Ambassador in BIH Partick Moon. 

Chairman Bevanda thanked for years long friendly relations of the USA towards BIH, and expressed a gratitude for the considerable role the USA has had in development of BIH society based on democratic standards, as well as for its support to our country on the way of its integrations into NATO and the European Union.

Ambassador Moon said that BIH will continue to enjoy the support of the UISA, and emphasised that the USA appreciates extremely and fully endorses the commitment of Chairman Bevanda and the Council of Ministers of BIH for overcoming the challenges they faced. He said that the further development of BIH it necessitates reaching an agreement on the issue of military property, adding that BIH will not become candidate for NATO membership as long as the issue remains unsolved.

The meeting shred a view the coming period of time should see a removal of obstacles that caused a loss of IPA funds, which were much needed for the improvement of economic situation.

As to the economic situation in BIH, Chairman Bevanda informed Ambassador Moon that BIH will fulfil IMF requests and will adopted 2014 State Budget by the end of this year, including the Global Fiscal Framework. He briefed Ambassador Moon on the implementation of the Road Map goals and Coordination Mechanism operations, which will be communicated to all participants of EU-BIH meeting in Brussels this September.

Chairman Bevanda wished success to Ambassador Moon in his future carrier, expressing his hope for a successful cooperation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America in the future. (end)
