Bevanda – Cohen: to Boost Investors’ Interest in Energy Sector and Road Infrastructure

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in an introductory visit non-resident Ambassador of the Sate of Israel in BIH David Cohen. 

During the talks, a good bilateral cooperation was specified between BIH and Israel, but still with a large space for its improvement, which necessitates action-taking in the period to come on getting Israeli investors closer to potentials existing in BIH.

Chairman Bevanda said on that occasion that BIH has a very low rate of utilisation of energy potentials, as well as a small rate of utilisation of solar energy potentials.

“We would like to boost the interest with your investors, for which both energy sector and road infrastructure are interesting investment areas”, Chairman Bevanda said during the meeting.

Ambassador Cohen said that Israel works intensively on the improvement of solar energy technologies and that in the future period it will intensify its efforts to establish a higher quality economic cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairman Bevanda, also, informed Ambassador Cohen of the ultimate goal of attaining the EU and NATO membership.

Chairman Bevanda congratulated to Ambassador Cohen May 9 – Victory Day over Fascism. Ambassador Cohen invited Chairman Bevanda to visit Israel, together with a delegation of BIH businessmen this fall.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary-General for Eurasia and Balkans in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Ana Azari.
