Austrian Development Agency (ADA) Signs EUR 200,000 Support

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H and Minister of Finance and Treasury Dragan Vrankić, on behalf of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, and Ambassador of Austria in B-H Dr. Donatus KÖck, on behalf of the ADA (Austrian Development Agency), singed in Sarajevo today a EUR 200,000 worth Contract on Support between the Ministry of Finance and Treasury and Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
The Contract is to enable the promotion of the Public Investment Programmes, as the main B-H Development Strategy/Social Inclusion Strategy implementation instrument, and it represents a continuation of the successful cooperation between the Republic of Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Further development of the Public Investment Programme, with the support from the ADA, will enable adjustment of the Investment planning process with the B-H, Entity and cantonal level strategic planning. By establishing a high quality identification, prioritisation and monitoring systems for the development programmes, the Pubic Investment Programme should contribute to a faster approaching of B-H on EU integrations”, Vrankić stated thanking for the support.
Ambassador KÖck expressed his pleasure with the fact that “Austria can support this important area, as this Contact is relevant for the national strategy development”, and added that after 15 years of the successful cooperation, the ADA Coordination Office in Sarajevo is supposed to be closed the end of June this year.
Funds will be used for the continuation of development of the Public Investment Programme and training of about 600 civil servants for a high quality definition of project proposals, in line with sector, Entity and State development priorities.
